Music & Materials

Students must have an instrument at home for practice. Guidance in instrument selection is included in tuition. Each student is responsible for purchasing the required music and materials for lessons. Students will be expected to have the newly assigned materials within 2 weeks.

Tuition & Schedule

Tuition will be charged on the 1st of each month to the method (card or ACH) on file with MakeMusic Studio. All payments are non-refundable. The studio is open for 42 weeks per calendar year. The weeks where lessons are not held (due to holidays, pre-scheduled studio closures, or illness) will be communicated in advance. Studio closure weeks will not receive a make-up lesson credit, as they have been accounted for in the tuition.

*Please not that tuition reserves the weekly time slot, but may not directly correlate with lessons if the student does not attend scheduled lesson times.

*Automatic payment is now available for all students, and is the preferred method of payment. Due to rising service charges, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle will no longer be accepted. Thank you for understanding!

Enrollment End Date

To end enrollment for the coming month, notice must be received via email by the 15th of the current month.

Cancellation Policy

When notice of a missed lesson is provided 24 hours prior, the studio may provide up to 5 make-up lessons per year, subject to availability. Make-up lessons must be used within 30 days.

Tuition is based on the number of lessons the studio schedules and will not be altered. Planned vacations or other conflicts communicated in advance receive a make-up lesson credit for that month.

*Enrollment cannot be guaranteed for the fall term without summer enrollment.

Virtual Lessons

In case of mild teacher illness or severe weather, lessons may be held online virtually. When virtual lessons are offered, in-person make-up lessons will not be offered. If the student opts out of the virtual lesson that lesson and tuition will be forfeited.

Photo & Video Release

From time to time I use photos and short videos of my students around the studio, on the studio website, or in social media posts. These videos and posts are encouraging to other students and helpful to other teachers. If you do not want your child's image(s) to be used, please let me know. Students are identified only by first name.
